A whole body massage using oils or cremes to facilitate treatment, move blood and soft tissue using light to medium pressure. Long strokes and slow movement is used as well as the palms of the hands, no finger pressure is used in Swedish Massage.
Deep Tissue Massage 60 min $110/90 min $160
Deep tissue massage is a powerful massage using more finger pressure and weight than a Swedish Massage. I also incorporate stretching to promote more synovial fluid to enter the joints. Forearms, fists and elbows may also be used.
Shiatsu 60 min $110/75 min $130
Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese healing art based on the same principles as acupuncture, however thumb and palm pressure are used following the body's meridians rather than needles. A lot of stretching of the soft tissue is also used as well as Range of Motion sequences. Client should be dressed in loose comfortable clothing (yoga clothes).
Reflexology 30 min $50/60min $100
Reflexology is based on the concept that each part of the body is mirrored on the feet. It is performed using small thumb movements on the feet to stimulate different organ functions. These movements stimulate the nervous system to travel to that particular organ and tell it to work at it's optimal level. Relexology is a great way to get rid of toxins in the body and is deeply relaxing.
Corporate Chair Massage $80 per hour/minimum 2 hours
Corportate chair massage is performed using a special massage chair in a corporate environment. The client is clothed the whole time and no oils or cremes are used. This is a great way to get some needed relaxation time at work. This increases circulation, increased mental clarity and alertness, decreases missed sick days, relieves carpal tunnel syndrome, increases metabolism and relieves lower back pain associated with sitting for most of the day. This should be a weekly event at any office!
